Are you heading to Bristol this September and eager to join Music Theatre Bristol? You're in the right place! Whatever your interest in musical theatre, everyone is welcome. This page is dedicated to providing you with everything you need for a seamless transition into MTB.

WELCOME TO MTB!
Music Theatre Bristol puts on a wide range of productions and musical theatre workshops throughout the year. We also host exciting socials, including club nights, open mic nights, and theatre trips. At the end of each term, members can join us for our Winter and Summer balls - a fantastic opportunity to dress up and celebrate!
We have both auditioned and un-auditioned productions and initiatives, allowing anyone who loves musical theatre to build upon their performance skills, try their hand at producing, learn new songs and dances, and meet lots of people.
Whatever your interest (onstage or behind the scenes) or your experience levels (showbiz prodigy or musical newbie) we would love you to a be part of our MTB family!

FRESHERS WEEK
During Freshers Week we run a 'Give it a Go' session which is a fun workshop where you can meet our members and get a taste of what we do as a society! We will also have a stand at the Freshers Fair, so come along to chat with our lovely committee members and ask any questions you may have.
SHOWCASE AND THE FAMILY SCHEME
Our first production of the year is Showcase which is a brilliant way to start your MTB journey. We also have a family scheme which provides new members with a smaller group of familiar faces, helping you settle and get to know others in the society better.
NEWBIES CABARET
In the first term, MTB puts on a cabaret featuring songs performed and directed by newcomers to MTB. This is open to anyone who hasn't been involved in MTB before, whether you're a fresher, second year, or beyond! This is unauditioned, making it a fantastic opportunity for those who missed out on Showcase, want to gain confidence in production roles, show us their talents, or simply meet with other MTB newbies!
BECOME A FRESHERS REP
Are you a fresher eager to join our committee?
Every year, we invite first-year students to apply for our Freshers' Reps positions! Freshers' Reps act as a point of contact for other freshers, answering any questions or concerns. They represent first-year students in committee meetings and even get the chance to produce our winter cabaret. We’re looking for enthusiastic, bubbly individuals who are ready to be a friendly face for other freshers.
